4 Mindset Shifts That Will Help You Elevate Your Herbal Business

4 Mindset Shifts That Will Help You Elevate Your Herbal Business

These are 4 mindset shifts that will help you to elevate your herbal business. You will most likely find a handful of these same answers and others in self-help books because they have been tried and tested by entrepreneurs time and time again. These four are the ones that i have found to be the most helpful in my herbal business and continue to practice them often.

Scarcity -> ABUNDANCE

Fixed -> GROWTH

Settling -> EDUCATION

Praise -> CRITICISM

4 Mindset Shifts That Will Help You Elevate Your Herbal Business

1 - scarcity -> ABUNDANCE:

If your hand and mind are open, you will receive money. SImple as that.

In some people's eyes, there’s an extreme shortage of money in the world, and they live their life afraid of losing what they have. So they rarely spend their money, but never really gain anything.

An abundance mindset lets you transform every dollar you spend into ten dollars you get back.

In your herbal business you may be thinking, "this is such a saturated niche and so many other people are doing what I do, how could I possible make money." The answer to that is simple: You are you and have something different to offer because you made it.

Note:

This is our current world population: 8 billion +

This is how many people use Instagram: 1.35 billion

This is how many people use Facebook: 3 billion

No one is selling to 8 billion people at any given time, there is so much abundance available to you.

2 - fixed -> GROWTH:

Someone with a fixed mindset believes their traits are permanent and cannot change. Their talent and skill are set in stone, and whether they are good or bad is already decided.

A growth mindset is a belief that you can improve in anything, that nothing is permanent, that you can become as good as you want.

You are going to need to develop this mindset because entrepreneurship comes with a lot of trial and error.

People can give you the tools you need but it’s still up to you to get to where you want to go.

If for instance you created something for your audience and expected it to sell - then it didn't, what would you do?

If you had a fixed mindset you'd quickly give up. If you had a growth mindset you'd see that you need to figure out what worked and what didn't, switch it up, and try again.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.

3 - settling -> EDUCATION:

Never stop growing, learning, and developing your skills. Don’t be ordinary, extraordinary entrepreneurs seek learning and education constantly.

For example as an herbalist you may need to learn public speaking, contract negotiations, team leadership, brand management, accounting, and a dozen other non-herbal related skills.

Of course if you aren’t going to learn it yourself you can always pay someone to do it, but as you start out in your business it's wise to learn as much as you can so that you know exactly what you want going forward.

Success is something you attract by the person you become.

These are some other skills you may need to learn in your herbal business:

  • Webinars
  • Sales videos
  • Video editing
  • Email list-building
  • Advertising
  • Website coding
  • PDF/graphics creation
  • Business licensing
  • Business taxes

The more you learn, the more you earn *wink,

4 - praise -> CRITICISM:

This one might be hard to hear, but you are going to have to learn to take criticism with grace and eagerness.

If you want to succeed you need to switch your mindset to see criticism as a huge positive vs negative.

Stop wasting time justifying your current abilities are good enough. It’s ok to be criticized, it’s a learning opportunity and to make changes where needed.

Apply what you learn to yourself and your business and get better.

It's hard to hear the sometime awful truth, I get it but again - you have a growth mindset so you know it's all about the plot and development of self and your business.
