5 Steps Tp Get The Most Of Out A Full Moon

I try to make every new and full moon a self-care ritual for my home, mind, and body. Take this time to honor yourself, your life, and the manifestations to come. I've put together 5 steps to get the most out of a full moon ritual so that this month and everything month to come, you find the most enlightening, grounding, and freeing spiritual practice.

5 Steps To Get The Most Out Of A Full Moon Ritual

1) Clean

Remember, you want to get rid of old energy and things that no longer serve you, which means not only mentally ,but physically. Release, donate, or toss things that you have no use for and take up space. Cleaning can be a great way to relieve stress and to show appreciation to your space and the current things that you own. Take pride in your life and all you have accomplished by taking care of your home and the things you cherish. I enjoy burning candles, sage, palo santo, or frankincense after I clean, if you don’t like to burn things try an essential oil spray.

Tip: Wash Your Crystals

Put your crystals in a warm salt water bath while you clean, it will clear their old energy and help in the next step.

2) Meditate

If you are new to meditation, there are books and apps for that. Start small, five to ten minutes until you are comfortable, increasing overtime. Meditation has so many benefits including but not limited to, enhancing self-awareness, emotional and mental health, also helps to improve sleep.

Tip: Get Comfy

Sit on the floor with your favorite pillows, surround yourself with crystals, burn incense or a diffuser, and get cozy. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be to enjoy this blissful experience.

3) Write

For my full moon prompt I like to recap about how the previous month was, good and bad. Then I write what I would like to see happen going forward, and things that I felt kept the month from being even better than it could have been. You can really write about anything, but focus on what you need to let go of during a full moon, this is when the moon is at it most powerful for helping you manifest feelings of release.

4) Release

I take out my whole journal entry, tear it up, and add it to my cauldron or flame safe vessel, lighting that sucker on fire. I always burn my full moon journal entry, to me this signifies letting go and sending my manifestations out into the universe. Think or say to yourself, “I release this old energy and allow new energy to flow to me.”

How To Cleanse Your Cauldron

Run your cauldron through cool water and dry thoroughly.

Mix sea salt and olive oil or almond oil in your cauldron and wipe the inside and outside down with mixture.

Rub in the outside oil to the best of your ability and place your cauldron (uncovered) in the oven at 450 degrees for ninety minutes.

Turn off the oven, and wait for the cauldron to cool.

Then pour the salt residue (now black salt) into an airtight jar.

Rub a little more salt and oil into the cauldron (inside and out), and set the cauldron in the oven upside down for another ninety minutes at 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Let it cool, and you’re all set to use your cauldron!

5) Bathe

Take a bath, now that you have cleansed your home and mind it’s time to clean your body. Take a relaxing bath and know everything is wonderful, life is great, and you have control over this wild ride. feel the water rush over you and smile. Full moon energy can be very stressful and intense, but if you take the time to breathe, and do a little self-care you’ll find that full moons can be extremely relaxing, useful, and powerful in manifesting your life.

Tip: Bath Rituals

Build a basket of bath time essentials, ONLY used during the new and full moon. Treat yourself to an amazing luxurious spa time to unwind and relax. I like to use different scrub scents, hair care, and oils for my full moon shower or bath. It feels more sacred and allows me to use my senses differently because it’s not what I use every day. Indulge in the things that make you happy it is worth it.
